I photographed the local up and coming hip hop artist Persistent over the course of two sessions. The first session was more of a portrait shoot and it mostly took place in and around my 14 Cedar St. Studio in downtown Amesbury, MA. The second photo shoot was done on location in Haverhill, MA and it consisted of various shots taken in and around his local haunts.   His debut album "4 Wat Its Worth" is coming out at the end of this month and you can hear songs from the album at www.persistentmusic.net or on his Facebook fan page. I have had the pleasure fo working with Joanne at the Custard Shoppe several times last month. One of my favorite shoots was setup to capture images for her website to showcase her Kookie Clothing Fall collection. We started this shoot searching for "Custard Cuties".  A Model search was set up through the Custard Shoppe's Facebook page.  It was difficult to choose since we received over 40 submissions, but in the end 8 girls were chosen as our final  models . Yesterday we held our very first Photobooth Fashion Birthday party for our raffle winner Gemma Leary. Sweets were provided by Dough Raise Me Bakery and Karyn Jackson Phillips. Joanne from the Custard Shoppe created a complete custom outfit for the winner and all the guests got a custom headband. I opened up my studio for the party and provided a photobooth shoot. Jo & I created and planned for weeks to provide the setting for the party. We had activities that included a fashion runway project,the girls got tattoos and nail art and made paper flowers like the ones we used to decorate with....

These are some photos from my recent session with Shawna. We met at the boardwalk to begin our session. It was an absolutely beautiful afternoon...sunny and the perfect tempature. Her mom Karen and Aunt Aimee joined us on our shooting adventure through Newburyport and back to my studio in Amesbury. We captured some great photos ,had some laughs, and also had the wits scared out of us while shooting ( mwuahahaha ) This is definitely a session I will not soon forget! The talent, make-up and yours truly arrived around 4:00pm at The Carriage Mill Building downtown Amesbury and began immediately getting ready. The talent headed towards wardrobe and make-up while I began to shoot as the crew created the set and perfected lighting. The filming began around 5:30pm and stopped just after 11:00pm. During the shoot it was my job to capture the crew & cast in a photojournalistic style from various angles while they were working on set.     This shoot showed me the behind the scenes happenings of a network television on location commercial shoot....

Will anyone mourn the death death of a marshmallow Peep? I think not! I was in a strange mood and feeling a bit creative, so I broke out my camera, some marshmallow peeps, strawberry sauce, tooth pics and a few other edible items for what was to become one of my strangest yet surprisingly cool photo sessions. All hoped up on the sugar from the little guys that didn't make the cut, I started posing and shooting. The 100 year old Fuller Gardens is a beautiful botanical garden located in North Hampton, NH. With so many gorgeous flowers,  I was like a kid in a candy store and the size of this gallery illustrates how much time I spent at this shoot. The colors were fantastic and helped me produce some of my best photos to date.
